Wing on a wing: new style for modded cars?

I don't have any picture evidence of it, but since yesterday, I've seen two different cars, both with two sets of trunk spoilers.
One was an ugly, beat-up 1980's-ish Cadillac that had a spoiler on the trunk and a wing behind the spoiler, attached to the middle of the trunk.
The second was a hideous Ford Mustang GT that I just saw a few minutes ago while at work. It had the short-rise spoiler that some Mustangs come with, but it had a huge wing attached on top of the short-rise spoiler.

I know, I know... This thread is worthless without pics, but I'm just curious:
When did this style begin?
Do you guys find it to be attractive?
Why? Why? Why?

Ricers...

You live in socal and this is new to you? This is more 2002, at the height of fast and furiousness.

That middle Subaru STI WRX's spoiler actually has a purpose. That is NOT rice. The others. Why yes, yes they are rice.

Yah, I was gonna say... That Subaru in the middle was taken at a car show where it was being shown off by them since ummm you can buy the Subaru like that. That's their rally styling because that spoiler is functional and designed by the manufacturer for racing purposes unlike those others that's more for looks.

Not in the 80's, lol. It was there so V8 owners knew they just got stomped by a 4-banger, lol.

No no no.... that particular 4-banger was a freak of nature in the same way that the Buick Grand National was "just a 6". Both were freaks that no one could explain, the numbers didn't seem to match up to their performance levels and they each built a reputation that lives on to this day.

That was kind of what I was getting at My T/S Mustang (10.19 avg) fell prey to a GN one night...I kind of knew I probably had it coming when small houses were getting sucked into the turbo inlet.

No, I honestly have never seen this ugly style before. It looks stupid IMO.

Wow, it has been about a decade since I saw my first double wing setup. More like stock wing with a huge aftermarket aluminum wing bolted to it to keep the back tires snug on the ground on the FWD car.

The worst I saw was a 1980's Corolla with a big aluminum wing. It was showered with performance stickers, spinning hubcaps, and the top of a trophy mounted in the middle of the wing. I AM NOT KIDDING.

It was this exact one:

Worst thing of all, it was stock Corolla. No exhaust, I doubt even a K&N filter (even though there were like 5 of those stickers on the car).

You still got that grudge against me for laughing at that stupid thread where you made literally no sense whatsoever?
Just move on, little puppy. It's not a big deal. Everyone forgot about it, but the more aggression you express, the more people will remember that idiocy.

Internet beefs... I don't partake in.
