Engine noise around 6grand and up?
Hi,
I seek guidance here; long time Ninja 250 rider, adorer, mechanic. Recently bought a friends 1996 and at about 6 grand she has a noise. Pretty sure it's not normal. Bike sat for many years and only has 1900 miles! Right?! It's not a valve sound. Dare i say it sounds chainish because its not buzzing like a loose part, noott tapping like valves. Hmmm... She winds right up great. Seems strong. New oil and filter a few hundred ago. I cleaned the can tensioner and it's not that. Because when i first set it it didnt take and made the cam chain noise. Definitely not that. Timing chain? |

cam chain = timing chain
can you make a short video of it and post a link to youtube, might help with diagnosis.
