Question Lower handle bars.....??

Ok, so I'm a stubby chick and had to put the roaring toyz lowering kit on my 250. With the the blocks on the front i'm not sure what options i have for a more forward riding position.....

Anyone have the issue? What should i do?

What do you mean by more forward? You want to lay over the tank more? A more aggressive riding position?

Clip-ons will move the bars forward and lower for a more aggressive/sport riding position. But no offense if you are as short and stubby as you claim it might be to the point of discomfort when doing city/ around town riding when you do not want to be full or even partial tuck.

I just put my Woodcraft clip-ons on my bike and it is a noticeable difference especially when sitting upright. I am 5'7" and i don't think i would want them any further down and forward than they currently are for around town commuting.

If you know some one who has clip ons installed go give it a ride and see what you think.

just my 2 cents

I'm 5'1", that's a good point. I don't want to go to far but something that would bring the bars down 1 to 2 inches would do it. I just feel to up rite on her. the only other thing i was thinking was to take the blocks out and to the clip ons but i don't know if this would be safe with the lowering links.... the bike wouldn't be level...

That's what i want to do but not sure what to do about the lowering blocks. the lowering links are at the second to lowest setting.... I was told by a buddy that not having the front end level with the back would affect turning and maneuverability....

This.

I have Moth rearsets and Woodcraft clip-ons and my lower body/back starts to feel the burn faster than my ZX6R.

You know how when you installed the lowering blocks on the front, you slid the fork tubes up in the triple?

Leave the the forks exactly where they are so the front is lowered the same as the rear. Take the blocks off. Buy clip-ons. Install.

The clip-ons allow you to lower the nose because they allow the fork tube completely through the triple. The front and rear will still be lowered the same amount, but your bars will be lower relative to the triple and you won't feel like you're riding a standard bike.

That make sense?

That's what i was thinking looking at the pics online. So are the Woodcraft clip-ons the best to get?

Check out the pics on the website in my sig to get an idea on how these fit... My boy is 5'2'' and he uses Apex Mfg clip-ons. they are fully adjustable and they offer risers too. Draik uses the standard ones that mount under the top triple though.

I'd also recommend some rearset adjusters or adjustable rearsets if you want a more aggressive body position.
