Total Control Class?

I had the opportunity to ride a friend's Ducati for about 2 hours on some local curves and it made me realize that I am not as good a rider as I need to be. I've heard that a track day is the best way to improve your riding in a controlled environment, but I'm not sure if I'm confident/skilled enough to try one yet. I took the basic MSF about 18,000 miles ago and now I'm looking for a more advanced class while considering the possibility of a trackday at the end of summer or next year. I'm considering a Total Control class since some members from my local riding group have taken it and loved it. Anyone taken one with their ninja?

Just took the TC level 1 class a few weeks ago was great fun and learned a lot more than any basic MSF. I will be taking level 1 again in fall and level 2 the next day!!!

So there you are Sarah!

I have never taken the school but can offer all I know if we get the chance to ride sometime here soon.

I am at the track this weekend, maybe sometime soon after that. And hopefully someone will chime in with info about your specific question.

I've never heard of those but track days are awesome. I improved more in my first track day than I had since all of the days after I learned to ride. Track days are not races, you ride at your own pace at your own level and track organizations almost always provide control riders to help others out with body position and line choosing. 18,000 miles just means you should have been at the track 16,000 miles ago

I've taken it. My avatar is right from there. You may not end up dragging a knee but it will certainly teach you a lot, before you're ready for the track.

Thanks for all the info guys! The feedback has me thinking that a TC class is the way to go and that i should schedule a trackday not so far in the distant future. I appreciate the help!

I wish I could find one here in Northern Michigan. I'm really interested in the TC1.
