Favorite iPhone Apps

Did a search and didn't find a mega-thread. So I thought I'd start one. Hope it's in the right place.

What are your favorite apps?

I just bought a phone, so I will be getting the bird app that was in the original commercial. After that, I'm kind of a newbie. Teach me.

I'm told there is a 'nightvision' app... that would be cool.

I love the USA Today Crossword puzzle app. I don't get the paper anymore so it satisfies my need for puzzles.

For the non game stuff:

Pandora
The Weather Channel (bc iphone weather sucks)
Photobucket handy for quickly uploading photos from iphone
Southwest (travel a ton and saved me the grief of finding a computer to check in)
Fandago or Movies.com

everything else has been mentioned for the most part

These are the apps I use every day:
SpringFlash + Activator
SB Settings
Music Controls
SMS GV Extensions
BiteSMS

Seeing a pattern here? :P

I don't use ANY App Store apps regularly, though I used to use Pandora Radio a lot and started using it again a few days ago.
I do regularly use the native Notes, Calendar, Email, Camera, Alarm, and Safari apps, but they are built-in to iOS.

Words with Friends!

Other than that, I use the amazon app quite a bit. I just tried updating my ebay app on saturday which completely bricked my phone . I'm borrowing my dad's old iphone 3g until the 5 comes out.

WHAT?! Must play words with friends (super angry face)

btw its ok Angry Birds has got me amused for the moment. I was determined to not bow down to the temptation, but after watching Conan with his real life Angry Birds I had to get it.

You know what would fix that problem? The app that turns your iphone into an htc evo 4g . I also have an ipod touch and the most used app on it is angry birds

I'm not a huge sprint fan. Their coverage in my area is lame. I also get a 25% service discount/month thru my company. It's also not really apple's fault. Well, not fully their fault. My phone was working just fine until I updated that ebay app, so I really blame ebay for having a crappy app.

Hah don't listen to him. My gf has an evo 4g an it's a great phone. Sprint service isn't too bad around here either. But the phone comes LOADED with bloatware from sprint. All kind of football and nascar crap and just tons of useless junk. On top of that, the marketplace is terrible compared to the app store. Want a halfway decent photo app? Be prepared to sift through thousands of crappy "sexy wallpaper" apps to find anything worth looking at. All the games are watered down versions of what's available on the app store too. Even simple games like bejeweled look and play like a turd on android :/

I finally broke down and paid the $.99 for the full version, three hours later I look over and I'm like "When did my wife go to bed?" That wouldn't be so bad if I hadn't been laying in bed.

Instead of starting a new thread I thought I'd revive this one.
I've been using an app on android for a bit called waze (it's on ios too). It's been super handy for me on numerous occasions. All the users update the map with 'reports' like construction, traffic and weather conditions, police sightings, accidents, red light cameras, etc. Granted, the reports are useless while on the bike unless you have a mount for your phone, but I use it primarily in my car. It has let me know that there was a police sighting xxxx feet ahead, so I slowed down immediately and sure enough there was one. My favorite function is the gas prices. Users post prices when they're at the station and you can scan the area for a list of gas prices nearby.
On that note, I also use an app called my cars. I don't know if it's on ios. I use it to log miles, gas price, and effectively mpgs. You can also log services. It in turn illustrates your costs, usage, etc.
Check em out; hope they're as useful for you guys.

Instagram and Roblox. The last one doesn't work on my phone for the last couple of days for unknown reasons.
