Motorcycling in 2011
Just got the Ninja out for a little spin last week when it was nearly 70 degrees, though it was cloudy in the morning, the afternoon got much better. Roads are still covered with gravel and lots of melting snow cause water run-offs across the entertaining twisty roads.
First decent ride on my newly purchased Ninja 250. The Legendary Longwood School Picked up some lunch at the PIG OUT BBQ Pit, Pull pork sand.. yum.. Covered Bridge near Valley Forge Signs of the covered bridge being repaired, but the nearby workbench was infested with carpenter bees, rare sighting in Feb: Another covered bridge near the second oldest Waldorf school in the nation: 170 miles covered before 4PM.. not bad for a first long ride in 2011. I went to school (Valley Forge) in Wayne, Pa. It's a beautiful part of the country.

I grew up in the area. Great roads to explore.
Pork place used to be called Miller's. We use to ride our dirt bikes there. It's a shame that all of the small town markets are gone. Thanks for the memory jog. |

I used to have good 200 acres of land just 1/4 mile from my driveway to ride my dirt bikes, now the "office parks" "developments" have reduced the riding area.. good thing the areas near the nuke power plant do not allow development along the powerlines.. I still get to ride along those trails: |
