Carbon Fiber question for 2012

Does anybody know where to get carbon fiber panels for the sides of a 2012? I'd like to replace the two black pieces of plastic with CF.

Yes, it is really carbon fiber. The side panels are not that much lighter than stock because the originals are not heavy to start with. I don't have figures but I'd say the front fender has a saving over stock of around 100g.

Cafbon fiber has huge weight savings over most metals, but unfortunately plastics are already pretty light to begin with. Don't expect much more than looks in this department. That said, their side panels do look sweet, wish I could afford them...

I have the Tyga carbon fiber side panels and front fender. I can say that they are definitely real carbon fiber and noticeably lighter; although as stated before the side panels are not heavy to begin with so it's not a huge difference. They look reallllly sexy.

That having been said they are also very expensive for something that just looks good. I love mine but as I move my 250 from street to a track/racebike the carbon sides will be coming off. (already spoken for, sorry) Keep in mind that $200+ is a lot of money for side panels and a fender...

really nice looking side panels and a fender...

come on TrailorBoy; 200 dollars is nothing these days. Three panels for the price of a night out on the town with nothing to show for it but a hangover... You know you made the right decision

I don't drink, so a night out in town rarely costs me over 20$ I say you sell me a set for that much and we have a deal

P.s. also, me love you long time!!!!

$200 is nothing? Tyga must be doing pretty well... And jesus you guys go hard when you go out!

In Tyga's defense they aren't crap quality carbon wrap or anything. They're definitely nicely made and fit well. I'm sad to see them off my bike.

Thanks for making actual CF stuff instead of just plastic crap with CF wrap on it.

Ever consider making any other bodywork on CF?

LOL, moved to far East where a night out was cheaper than in the UK. Not sure about the US but last time I was in London, a couple of rounds of drinks, a meal, entry to a club and taxi home and there is no change from 200 dollars I guarantee. Nearly gave me a heart attack.

On the other hand, jeez, 20 bucks, you must give your gf a real nice night out Even in Thailand, the cheapest date going; tickets to the movies for two with some popcorn and drinks and fuel there and back will cost you more. You must be a lot better looking than me to get away with that kind of dating

Not drinking and not having a girlfriend helps :P but even when I had a girl friend, it would still be 20 bucks per head, not too much over that...

LOL, try splitting the bills here and see how far that gets you... Maybe the gf should pay for half of the carbon parts too...too bad you don't have one would make our products half price!

When I was in high school I was able to take my ex out to dinner, a movie, AND have money left over for condoms for just $25.

going 5 bucks over budget on the condoms is definitely cheaper in the long run. Ask anyone with a family....

Who said anything about splitting bills? Dinner for two at a fancy restaurant = 30$ Long romantic drive with desserts and drinks(generally coffee) on the way = 10-20$... It's when you add alcohol to he mix that costs start rocketing... Lol here's to not drinking

P.s. I'm not saying your parts should be so cheap, but if they were, I'd buy in a heart beat... I'd buy them at his price if my pockets were a little deeper

So Paul, any plans on any other CF bits? Specifically a headlight fairing (race preferred), side fairings, and solo tail fairing?

You guys gonna make stuff for the 2013+ 250s?

No plans at this stage. Will stock OE Kawasaki parts for new model and maybe make some products for that but not sure yet what.
