Thats great work. What is really cool is that he has done all the hard work. Now he just has to wait for higher quality batteries and his bike will improve with those advances.

Electric motors have huge performance potential when they get smaller batteries that last longer. Not sure if I'd like a silent bike though. Maybe it needs a simulated exhaust note!

I'll take your electric 250 and raise you a solar-electric 250.

http://www.2fiddy.com/2008/09/shocking-ninja-250/

Of course, it's still battery powered (really, just a solar charger for the heck of calling it "solar").

Not a 250, but the reviewer drew comparisons:

it's interesting seeing two-wheeled vehicles evolving. just think, as someone said earlier, what will be available in just a few more years...that motard-styled cycle looks cool.
although i also agree with someone who commented about sound...or lack of.

THAT will take some getting used to

Wow. Not quite the same, but I have my iPhone "integrated" with my [non-electric] Ninjette.
You know... spedometer, dyno apps, and the like.

Fixed. Thanks. I doubt a second "http://" kept you from getting to the article though.

Anyway, that thing sounds INSANE! It looks like we'll all be riding the bikes from "Akira" in no time.
