Nothing is going right

So, the sun finally came out this morning. I decided to ride into the city.
On the way back I was going 25mph, hit a bump and the cowl flew off.
Nothing is going right for me in the past couple of month.
Chipped both corners and road rash all over.
Here's the damage.

I feel for ya brother. It's been the same for me lately. Although one very good thing has happened to help me through it all. So don't dispair, things will get better.

I'm waiting 6 weeks now on getting a new piece of the right bodywork for my 250R. And the weather hasn't been really good for riding in weeks - it's either rainy, windy, or really cloudy. And my new tank pad isn't sticking. All that stuff's pissing me off. I'm currently actually not amped to ride. >_<

Thanks guys.
Would it be cheaper for me to bring it to a shop to repaint or get a new one?
One of the rubber piece in front is missing too.

Motorcycle(s): Depends on the week you ask

By the time it's said and done, it'd probably be cheaper to get a new one.

$40 for paint. $30 for clear. Materials... time... Not looking good on the repair side. Though you would have extra paint for other incidents.

But on the bright side, the pictures don't actually look so bad - you could probably sell it on ebay as used with slight damage and make back a good chunck of what you spent...

You can just get cowl with no hardware. I think it is like 50-70 bucks. The dealer messed up and got me one. I had to return it to get one that had the cowl and the hardware.

I've noticed many tank pads on bikes seem to shift slowly to the sides and not adhere very well. Hand goes down on pad to get off bike and over time the pad is shifted by pressure. I've used the "Rubber Ronnie" on 2 bikes now and they adhere like the devil! Never shifts, a substantial piece of protection and adheres right off the get go.

I used the short on for the 2007 Ninja 250 and the large one for the 2009 Ninja 250... worth every penny and I love it.

Its a gamble when using replacement cowls that don't have that under the seat "tongue" attachment as the stock seat has. I'd love to use one but won't spend the money on somethin that has a hinky attachment to it. If you can pop it open from behind and its easy to fly off... ain't havin no part of it for mine..... have seen a while back complaints on other sites about it poppin off when on the fly...... sorry you got popped! May need to use a bungee cord to keep it down next go round... Can't you try touch up from Colorite? Base, Color then Clearcoat pens for about 20.00 bucks and a little scrubbin with auto rubbing compound to pull out the surface scratches? Pics don't show the damage to be too bad.
