Question Driveline screeching noise

Anybody run into a driveline screeching noise? It sounds like a bad wheel bearing or when a drivebelt gets glazed. Happens even if clutch lever is pulled in. It quits around 30-40 km/h and can be intermittent. I even have an audio recording of it. I suspect the speedo cable. How easy would it be to detach the cable for further testing? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks! -Marquise
