Hit 10,000 miles, Painted a few things, and Modified Stock Exhaust!

So guys, just the other day my ninjette hit 10,000 miles!!

0404121641b.jpg

Along with my bike hitting 10,000 miles, a few things came with it such as:
-Valve Clearance Check and Adjustment
-Oil and Filter Change
-Coolant Flush and Change
-Spark Plugs Cleaned
-Blacked Out Windscreen
-Painted White Chain Guard
-Modified Stock Exhaust

All of this which i got done in the last week. I feel pretty accomplished

The big thing was getting the valves done, and im glad i did because all of the exhaust valves were out of spec.

Heres a few pictures of everything.

Blacked out windsheild:

Used Krylon Fusion Gloss Black paint for Plastic on it and it worked great.

Painted white chain guard:

Not exactly sure how i like this. Its growing on me, but it sure does stick out amongst all the black in the ass end of her...I like it but it seems somewhat random... What do you guys think of it?

Modified stock exhaust:

Just finished this bad boy today, wow did it make a difference. It wasnt as loud as i expected, but definently still way louder and better sounding than stock. Makes me grin

And finally heres a picture of a very happy 16 year old and his ninjette

If you guys have any questions about what i did or how to do it, let me know! I plan on doing a few more DIY's for a few things, not sure if ill get around to them however...

Thanks

The white chain guard actually fits with the white number plates on the tail and white graphics elsewhere. I thought it would look funny before I saw the pics! If you were to do it again, I would tape off the mounting parts so that it's white/black and looks like a continuous white wedge, but I left my old chain guard in San Diego.
