Not all helmets are created equal. Shark helmets commercial

I hope this isn't a repost... An innovative way to show what helmets are supposed to do... Not necessarily promoting Shark, but glad they made this video... I'm sure any reputable helmet manufacturer could do the same thing...

its a funny commercial but it was obviously camera trickery... in the first one the 3 center guys are holding each other so they stay together except the last guy, in the second one they are holding each other slightly apart and the guy at the end is actually holding the last guy to keep him from going anywhere. also in the first one they pull guy #1 back on the second time through

TRON!!!! That's a pretty slick helmet mod..

I have to admit that I would LOVE to put EL wiring on my bike, but it's enormously expensive and not very efficient as far as battery life is concerned.. I've never looked into the possibilities of powering it with the bike's battery, though I'm sure it could be done with some research and hard work.. Hmmm..

I have a couple of shark helmets and they fit my head nicely and are light.

Looks like you have to spend over $250 to get an HJC that is 5 star from sharp rating, which i feel goes above and beyond the testing of snell, dot or ece. Your exact model is not on here, but HJC has to much variance with their models and the ratings they receive. Here is example of what i mean, some of the other brands that i like, show consistency on ratings with most all of their models, which is what one should expect. To each his own though, we are all big boys and girls and hopefully research every bit of data out there (and not just reviews from customers on sites like revzilla or bikebandit, your not buying a ****ing toaster here ) to make an informed decision.

I didn't check all the HJC helmets, but the R1 helmet has 1 star and then you look and it's a $50 helmet that's only DOT rating... then you check out the FG-15 and it has ECE rated and gets 4 stars.

I'd imagine my CL-17 would be in the 4 star- 5 star ratings.. But who really knows, hopefully I'll never became a crash test dummy.
