help choosing
There are 3 bikes that I really like alot and they are equally as nice to me.
The first is a 2007 Gsxr 600, a few mods done 2nd: 07 Honda Cbr 600 that has nice wheels and a few minor upgrades. 3rd: 01 r6 that is completely stock All 3 of them I sit on comfortably "or as much as it can get" I really don't have a certain preference of brand. I don't plan on going through twisty s at mach 1 or anything like that. I just like to cruise and look good doing it. The CBR and the Gsxr are in the same price range while the r6 is a little cheaper Please only useful opinions. |

Buy what you like. Seems like the bike itself doesn't matter terribly.

Based on age and looks, I'd go with the cbr600

If you have no interest in tracking it or even twisty roads, have you considered any other bikes that may be more suited to your tastes? There are plenty of cool bikes that would be more comfortable for just cruising around and looking cool. Ducati monster would be up there on my list. BMW F800R also.

I have thought about other bikes, but the problem is that those bikes are practically non-existent here. I have also rode the CB 400 naked bikes here and they were really fun, but not my style.
I have noticed that alot of folks are saying to get the cbr. The great ol internet is saying the same thing also. |

R6 is carbed the others are FI, does that matter to you?
The ergos of the Gixxer vs the CBR are very different, the R6 is more like the Gixxer The CBR is allegedly the most comfortable, it's ergos nearly crippled me compared to Gixxer 600s & older R6s Honda should have HISS, do the others have an immobiliser? (is bike theft a big problem in japan? It is in Ireland, bikes go missing, either scumbags ride them around a field & burn them out once they're wrecked or they get parted out & are known to end up in Lagos thanks to our knackers (gypsies) working with Nigerian criminals...) |

Everyone rides something from the big 4. You should get a triumph street triple.

ron...i have a pearl white 07 cbr 600 and love it...this bike is suppose to be more comfortable than other 600, great handling in the canyons, looks great with the under tail exhaust, sounds good with a slip on...and more midrange according to test reviewers...

Another +1 on the CBR. I am really starting to lean towards the CBR, I have always been a fan of Honda fit and finish of all their products. I have read that the CBR was kinda boring compared to all the other JP manufacturers. Mainly because it is not made for just going fast, its good in all departments. In saying that, I'm liking the CBR more and more unless there is some legitimate reason why to go for the GSX-r.

For me with those three bikes, I choose the Gixxer. I am compressed on every CBR I have ever sat on.
For you, if you fit the Honda, then that seems to be what you are leaning towards so get it.

I ended up going with the Gixxer 600.....for some special reasons. Mainly it was my favorite colors, It can be taken back stateside, after market gear already installed, cheaper then Honda, ease of transferring title versus the Honda and lastly it was only 10lbs heavier then the honda.
Thanks everyone pics will be up soon. |
