There never was a clear picture of what happened at the track. My guess is a serious highside, or he lowsided and got hit by another rider.
Glad hes going home.
keep up the good work, John.

I just checked the Jon Broom facebook page and if you are interested you can go there. It had been quite a while since I checked.

I feel so badly for Jon's family. His mother just posted this in that facebook group:

Quote:
Jon's younger brother, Dusty, passed away Wednesday. He had a seizure while sleeping. We are heart broken but I know many of Jon's friends knew him and wanted to let you know. Rest in peace my Dusty, we love you
I feel so badly for that poor woman.

Wow. Sad news. My son developed seizures around age 7. Under control with RX but all the grand mals happened In the morning before waking up. I think we slept in the same room with him for a year. Obviously Jons brother was older but you always wonder about these things.

They have gone through so much... I can only imagine the pain.

I guess the the best we can do is send our prayers and condolence thoughts...
Also...
At the moment Ridesmart is holding a benefit trackday for the family and also for Zach Chpman's... there was a thread for that on this site... here is the link to that
