Part 13 of the OTT video interview with seven-time AMA Superbike champion Mat Mladin, the intensity of the rivalry between himself and Spies is fully revealedOkay, we know we said that the last episode of this video interview series (Part 12) with seven-time AMA Superbike champion Mat Mladin was the best yet, but this latest chapter is even better. A lot has been said about the rivalry between former Yoshimura Suzuki teammates Mladin and AMA/WSBK champion Ben Spies, but much less has been said about the behind-the-scenes psychological warfare Mladin and his crew used to unleash on Spies and his crew in an attempt to knock them off balance. There are several candid starting grid conversations caught on tape that show the two riders/crews weren’t exactly on each other’s Christmas card lists. Spies also elaborates on how racing Mladin for four years helped him (check out his dig at Mladin in the beginning), while Mladin also gives his usual frank opinion on Spies.
