2010 250 Engine Swap
Hello, I recently bought a 2006 ninja EX250F. It needed a new engine, so I did some research on the swap from a new gen engine to a pre-gen frame.
Everything is pretty much set except the breather tube on the top of the valve cover. I'm assuming its for a PCV system. Is that correct, can I just go out and get a generic PCV valve, tubing and attach it to my air box? |

Just block off the smog plate. Then its just like the pre gen cyl head.

It's not a PCV valve. The "PCV" breather is what goes from the gearbox area into the bottom of the airbox.
The top of the head has the KLEEN Air system... it's basically fresh air injection at the exhaust ports. Allows the cats some air for further burn, dilutes the mixture a little to make it look less bad with a sniffer. Plug it. Nothing bad happens. |
