Nice bike! It looks like you've put a lot of work into rebuilding it.

Is it just me or does that front tire look pretty worn? Tires are only a little important though...

Yep. Change the front tire asap! And the back if it matches. Nice job.

What's up in the riding department? I still don't know the real story since our funny/smart*ss people keep telling me 8 different things.

name rank a...no wait, age now and have you got your license yet? Take the course? Gear? I have the memory of a flea, so forgive me.

I have a permit. I've taken MSF. Ridden a dirt bike for a while. The ZX isn't mine...it's my father's, but I ride it. We have tires ready, they just need to be changed out. Switching too Michelin 2CT!!

Looks good Nick. That's an awesome bike. I just hope your dad takes an advanced MSF or something before riding it. Real easy to lose it on that one. Even though he rode in the old country he still needs a motorcycle endorsement in your state.

Here are some gruesome photos of what can happen when HP exceeds skill....

Here and there. Sheesh, I didn't realize how late it was.

Anyhow, you and your dad did a nice job fixing up that bike. Looks good. Did you have to do much other than just changing the plastics?

It sounds like the bike was in pretty fair shape when you got it. Has your dad let you test ride it for him yet?

I got another Ninja 250 a few months ago, but its been non stop fixing stuff on it. Today I'm rebuilding forks and triple trees. Yesterday, I worked on all the stuff that takes keys because they were jammed. I swear I think this bike was at the bottom of the ocean somewhere and a fisherman dragged it up with a hook. Only 5K miles, but its clearly had a hard life. Tomorrow it has to get new tires. After that, the rear shock needs replacing.

I'll take it. Thanks. Do you want me to send you the postage or just email you a stamp?

Just got the forks back in today. Not happy with the alignment so I'm not done with it yet. I'll be posting about that in the other thread later.
