Finished my Winter Mods

Finished installing Koso RX2N Gauges, Hotbodies MGP Growler Exhaust, Flush mount turn signals from ModMy250.com and integrated tail light from CustomLED. Now if it could just stop being rainy and cold I can get out and ride and get some better pics. For now, here's some from my cramped garage.

Like the guages, would love to have them on my bike. Only concerns are 1. the odometer and 2. do the guages change color every time you switch your high beams on/off..? seems dumb to me unless you can lock the color. Oh and uhh finding a way to make it fit on a 500 haha

I believe thats only when the bike is in neutral, or at a stop. One of the two. If you do it when riding it wont happen..

Not just you, it looks oddly vacant with all the spare room like it could use some additional gauges, or rig up a 12v outlet and a GPS or cellphone mount in the free space.

Also, @Agger, did you shim your needles after putting on the MGP Growler? If not... one more winter mod for you to do.

Install was pretty easy, got the plug and play kit. Only thing that took any time was removing all the fairings and installing the water temp sensor. I don't have a really mechanical background and I did it myself.

The model I chose doesn't change colors at all, although I think that is going to be changing for that particular model in the near future. For the model that does change colors with hi-beams it only does so if the speedo reads 0. So, if you are moving, it won't change colors.

I agree, it does look a bit sparse. However, for me, I like it. That is one of the reasons I chose this particular model. I wanted everything compact and right there. Not that looking an inch or two to the right or left for information is that tough, I just prefer to not have to, lol.

Haha there are definitely a few more things that I want to for the bike this year but I'm running out of money! lol

I also have an obsession with new helmets and get a new lid pretty much every spring so I've got some stashed away for that.

Love the Koso gauges... I want the older version though, but thats just my personal taste. Good luck with the Growler... I had one and it was just too loud for my taste. I liked the look, but after a short while the noise would give me headaches

Is the hole in that mounting plate already cut when you buy the kit? I'm assuming it is, which is unfortunate since there's too much negative space on each side for my liking. But there's not enough space to do anything with it. I think if you could get it with the gauge moved over left or right some, so that I could flush mount a decent size GPS in there, it would look much better.

I'm guessing the reason he did it that was is because of that style ninja decal, if you put it the other way, the light starts to cover the "NINJA". I know the 2011 decal has that problem and they look pretty similar.
