Forget 20 years from now, right now in 2013 I click on that link and wonder how people can stand the 20 year-old BBS-quality user interface right now.

Reminds me of the group of guys I ride with. Out of the four of us, three (including myself) are quite content just cruising around and enjoying the day. But the youngest is always wanting to go faster. He'll ride staggered with his front tire pretty much even with the back tire of the guy in front of him and tells us to speed up every time we stop for a break.

Out of the four of us, he's the only one that's had an accident. Go figure, right?

I had to take a nap after reading that.

I'd pass that whole group in one sweep.

I feel the need, to pee (I mean, for speed).

If they are that slow they should ride a 250. Forget that statement.

I feel that way already! I don't ride to go fast, I ride to get away from my everyday life, which I enjoy returning to.

I already ride like an old man apparently. I just go out and enjoy the day during my free time. I'm not out to prove anything. I'm not going to lie though, every now and then, I'll do a fast pass on my favorite short twisty stretch just to see how effortless I can make it feel.

Can't see that happening.

Young lads like fast machines & are willing to take the risk.
That attitude ensured that we are speaking English here, not german & japanese.

If it hasn't changed in the last 70 years I doubt it'll change in the next 20

They've replaced these:

with these:

I don't mind people going slow. I just hate when they are in the way. Just because you want to go slow doesn't mean it's your duty to hold up everyone else (which is more dangerous).

So you had more time to see and hear things that the faster riders missed.

We tend to associate speed with risk of riding; however, our lack of mental control and visual skills is what drive us into trouble more frequently.

There is a time and place for everything in life, including cornering, speeding, stunning, etc.

After you survive your younger years of riding, after you improve your knowledge and control over your machine, after you master the dangers of traffic, you start realizing that your mind is the ultimate barrier to overcome and control.

Our mind is formidable in playing tricks on what we believe we can or cannot do; that is what makes it so hard.

The body decline with age, but the mind can improve up to the last day, if you make a sustained effort for staying curious, alert and positive, for challenging yourself, and for surrounding yourself with young and/or positive beings.

"Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eighty. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young." - Henry Ford

"Life's tragedy is that we get old to soon and wise too late." - Benjamin Franklin

"We don't stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing." - George Bernard Shaw

"Error is acceptable as long as we are young; but one must not drag it along into old age." - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

"Old men are fond of giving good advice to console themselves for their inability to give bad examples." - Francois de La Rochefoucauld

This last quote explains my excessive participation in this forum..........

There's one right bollox that rides an 1100 Pan, has the back done up with hi-vis panels, wears a white Arai & full length hi-vis jacket (essentially imitating a police bike) who sits in the middle lane at 10 mph below the limit on the main ring road & holds up everyone behind him. Cnut wags the finger at anyone who overtakes him

He's well known by some of the regular bikers on the route who 'buzz the tower' on him

I was shooting with a 50, a swarm of spitfires & hurricanes coming in fast & low wasn't going to work with a longer panning shot

Probably not the only time someone was shooting a 50 at them, but one of the safer ones
