Gasoline in the exhaust

Today I reinstalled my stock exhaust for a fix it ticket I got in San Diego. I removed the after market exhaust and gasoline dripped out, about a tablespoon. What the hell is causing it and how do I fix it?

My ride is a 2012 250 and had a Danmoto slipon exhaust.

Just a slip-on? That should just be water not gas.

lol, gas? Makes no sense. Unless you have a hole in your gas tank, and coincidently a hole through everything including one in your exhaust

Ya your slip-on probably doesn't have a drain hole so it collects condensation until you run the bike for a few minutes.

I dont remember seeing a drain hole, it smelled like fuel and I was concerned. Especially since I want to sell the bike soon. The other thing is that I leave my bike in an uncovered parking lot while at work and lately its been raining often.
