hard to start

Has anyone had a hard time getting the ninjette to start after having the handlebars in the locked possision?I went for a ride today locked the bars when I parked it, and then went to unlock the bars and the bike would cycle but not fire.I relocked the bars then went to the start position and it fired right up.Ca'nt figure out if I have an ignition switch goin or just a fluke.

I think it may be a fluke. Locking the bars doesn't do anything electrically, and if the motor spins at all then the ignition switch is live. Are you using any choke to start the motor?

I just use the choke on cold mornings.Anything over forty degrees and the bike usually warms up just fine.

maybe you have a loose wire that was pinned by the locked steering? and when you relocked it you fixed it... just throwing out an idea. Cause like Alex said, there shouldn't be any effect on starting.

I have never had an issue with starting after locking it, but it takes a little more cranking than normal to start after a hard ride in the high RPMs (over the twisties etc)
