Damn, I could put together a mini one...but with work it's really hard to plan ahead. I really want to go back to Hocking Hills State Park, roads and wilderness are awesome.

Yeah I've been there on a road bike because my family camped there a few time, but that was before I got the ninja. Great hills!

I guess I keep forgetting that Hocking Hills State Park is here. It's like 3 hours from me. A little too far for a day trip. I might be able to stay with a friend at OU though and go ride while he has class

Before the Ninja 250 Rally 2012 will be underway, so start getting your final plans ready to attend. It should be a blast like last year. Maybe even a few newer riders and some from last year. This year's ride will be real nice with access to a lot more amenities and things to see. Hopefully there will be an Itinerary coming soon. North Carolina's last alternate route!

Sweeping curves, amazing scenery and cool mountain breezes make the Diamondback, NC 226A, one of Western NC's last great mountain roadways.

The Diamondback, NC's 226A is loaded with switchbacks looping almost 360-degrees. Runs of S-curves climb and twist sharply as they snake through lush green forest in route to the Blue Ridge Parkway just above Spruce Pine, North Carolina. It's one of the best kept secrets in the Southeast. Here's the details!

The Diamondback
WHERE: NC 226A in McDowell and Mitchell counties - ends at Gillespie Gap/NC 226 S
LENGTH: 12 miles
TOTAL NUMBER OF CURVES: Over 190
AVERAGE NUMBER OF CURVES PER MILE: 15.8 per mile
TOTAL NUMBER OF SWITCHBACKS: 12

I saw something about Eureka Springs, AR on the first page. A rally there wouldn't be bad as I am within two hours of there

lots of great roads to cruise. It would be great to make some new friends, the other 250 riders here just aren't any fun anymore!

If there is anything midwest I would definitely be in for a trip!

Logan: Eureka Springs is the Concours rally. My father and I are going, and i MIGHT take the 250. It is june 11-15th. If you can meet up with us and ride some thatd be cool!

Harrison: I am hoping on leaving wed after work (4 or 5) and going on into asheville. But that can always change. The rally actually starts on thurs and not too many people are there by then. Its really up to whomever wants to go. We could always meet up thurs morning and take some backroads to asheville, over the mountain to the dragon and then on into asheville. Im flexible!

This rally looks cool! I've never done anything like this. Unfortunately I don't have a bike yet. I'm doing my msf in July so I'm not sure how much time I'll get on a bike before this happens. Not sure if going this year is a wise decision or not though. Even though its only a five hour drive from my home I'm not sure if all the corners are going to be good for a noob

I'm am in need of new gear right now (Icon jacket zipper busted) and need some pants and new jacket for the trip... a few ppl have sent a few donations for the gear fund, since I am providing the rooms.
I'm not forcing ppl to donate to stay in a room, but it will help get a spot, as it seems like we might have more ppl going than the rooms will hold w/ 15 just from the other forum.

Pretty much this..

I will be leaving 6/31 and spending the day at the Dragon, overnight in Knoxville. Then back at Dragon 8/1 for few passes, then taking back roads to Asheville.

If we can get 4 people per room, or even 3, that's a right nice price. Even $55/night if you split with one other isn't bad at all.

My father and I are going, and i MIGHT take the 250. It is june 11-15th. If you can meet up with us and ride some thatd be cool! Harrison: I am hoping on leaving wed after work (4 or 5) and going on into asheville. But that can always change. The rally actually starts on thurs and not too many people are there by then. Its really up to whomever wants to go. We could always meet up thurs morning and take some backroads to asheville, over the mountain to the dragon and then on into asheville. Im flexible!
