is it my cct?

bike was ticking, did the valves. they were barely out of spec, tight on both sides so i put them back in the middle of spec. bike still ticks at high rpm... is it my cct? did i wait to long from the start of the tick to do the valves? (started ticking about 1000mis ago faint but got worse, first two valve jobs by the dealer measured in spec, its at 16kmi) should i tear it down and check the valves for mushroom heading? should i just try replacing the cct? ugh what if my measuring tools were wrong!

I'm sure it's fine. ninja 250's have a tendency to have a noisy valvetrain. as long as it isn't INSANELY loud, you said you put them in the middle of spec, I think it should be ok

9_9 i've ridden so many 250s though... none of them sound so... pingey... with earplug on and wind noise at 75, the tick is louder than my stupid loud yoshi exhaust... maybe i am just paranoid... i will try to find a way to get sound recorced

That's kinda interesting. Mine was ticking pretty loud with my mgp growler and yesterday I put the stock can on for kicks and the ticking quieted substantially.
