LED rear turns/Regular front turns

Should I do the diode mod for just rear LED turn signals? Everything else is stock bulbs.

You will be OK without the mod as long as the flasher works at a reasonable speed, which it probably will since you have stock front bulbs.

On the other hand, doing the diode mod on a completely stock bike won't hurt anything either. I consider the single indicator circuit a cheap-out on Kawasaki's part (they splurged on the 500 and gave it an extra light!), which is fixed by the diode mod.

The single turn signal indicator circuit goes back decades, to the '70s and before. It may have been more tradition than cheapness.

They're starting to catch on to the existence of LED bulbs now.

I have LED signals on the front and rear of my 250, and the stock flasher still works OK, but it blinks about twice as fast as it used to. I may get a flasher made for LEDs one of these days.

You don't need one specific for LEDs, just an electric one works fine.

The recommended one is an Tridon EP34 since it works for both 2 and 4 LED signals. Stay away from the EL12, it just causes problems. (Explained here)

Easy fix to do and keeps your flashers blinking at the expected rate rather than making it look like you have a blown bulb.

That's the exact opposite of working ok. =) It's hyperflashing to tell you that you've got a dead bulb. LEDs draw so little power, it's closer to a dead bulb than a good one in the eyes of the flasher.

And once again, a decent electronic ("LED", non-thermal) flasher will work perfectly with stock or LED signals, so there's not much reason not to do it. You do lose the dead-bulb hyperflash, but you're checking for that during T-CLOCS anyway, right?

Like Teri said, some of the EP34 knockoffs don't seem to work right. Switching to an actual Tridon frequently makes everything Just Work™. If your bike doesn't use the standard auto-style 3-prong flasher, https://www.superbrightleds.com/cat/...oad-resistors/ has several options with different connectors. I personally have the LF1-S-FLAT on two bikes.
