My ninjette won't stop farting

It's making a farting noise between 5000-6000 rpms. Not really a high pitched squeaky one, but more of a low rumbling one. I did wreck a few weeks ago (there's a thread in the @$*(&!@^*()$@ I wrecked board) and it does need the valves adjusted, carbs synced, and oil changed. Do you think doing these three things would solve it? Or is there something else I should try?

Are you sure it is the ninja?

If it is, try looking for a hole in the exhaust system where gases are exiting the pipes and making noise.
