120/70/17 Supercorsa or Bridgstone BT003

Last racing weekend this week. My 110/70/17 Supercorsa's SC1's are getting close to end of life (5 solid track days on them)

Local supplier was suppose to restock today but looks like it's next week.

options are

120 SC1 fronts, which I read a few people are running this year.
110/70/17 BT003, everyone runs these

htdub, not sure what your track surface is like, but I have a set with 8 track day sessions on them and my race set have 3 race weekends on them. And we're still going strong.

Down south from ya, I believe from Washington onward to California, the Pirellis are the tire of choice.

A little off topic, but where are you guys getting the SC1's from?

I can't seem to find any retailers online that sells them reasonably. Been on 003RS's but want to give the SC1 front and Rosso II rear a try.

Ya, sc1's are pretty much the choice around here too.

Mine aren't toast yet, just I can push the front during parking lot practises now.

Going to be super hot this weekend, local pirelli guy said to drop another pound out of the front, 25cold, even 24 to get the last bit out of it.

Surface isn't too abrasive, I was at the ridge a few months ago, and found that surface pretty abrasive compared to local Mission Raceway.

JP, give Chris Maguire a call at CT Racing. They are the Western Region supplier for Pirellis.

As much as it sounds crazy, I have a 110 SC1 that I put on in June, 14 months ago, which is still doing it's job. I went to the tire guy last round and he said the tire looked great, still felt soft and sticky, and talked me out of replacing it. It probably has 10 race weekends and 8 trackdays and who knows how many hours on warmers.

The rear SC2 is another story...

same here JP (and subsequently thanks Kazman), i don't see the mainstream outlets (motoyrcycle-superstore, bikebandit, etc) have the Pirelli SC in ninja250 sizes.

I ended up running the sc1's over the weekend. No problems with the front tire.

Did a half track day saturday and then race day monday, tires were good. I dont' have warmers yet, next upgrade for sure.
