Are front and rear brake pads the same?

I'm looking to buy new brake pads. Some sites distinguish front from rear, but are they not the same pads? I have an '04. Here's a link of what I'm looking to buy: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com...50R-Parts.aspx

Thanks!

The wiki here says they are different but I'm sure someone will chime in that has replaced them and can verify.

I wouldn't trust the diagrams. The part numbers are different (Front: 43082-1068 and Rear: 43082-1145), also the rotors/calipers are different sizes. I would just get pads labeled as rear just to be safe. I haven't had to change my rear pads yet, but I have changed the front. I'll take a better look at my rear today and give you a better idea.
