Thawed out the K75 and went for a pleasant 20 mile ride today. I resolve to ride more this year. Happy New Year, everyone! Ride safe. |

Every year a local club organizes a Polar Bear Ride for New Years Day. Participated for the first time. Ran into a friend there and we did the Papa Bear run of about 90 miles. Plus, getting to the start location and home from the finish added another 60 miles. Temp was 36F when I left home. Weather was clear and dry which is unusual for Portland, OR this time of year. Heard one report some riders found ice on one shady hill. After 90 miles riding in the cold beer and pizza sure taste good.
