Got my bike back from insurance today :-)

Finished taking it apart. Besides for the paint and fairing damage, all good. Except for the right fork. It holds pressure and all feels good, but there is a bit of oil on the tube. I'm assuming just like any normal shock the seal could be blown from over compression. I cleaned the tube off and ill check it again in a bit after compressing it to see if there's an exes of oil on it. Is there any way to check it for damage? Is it possible the seal didn't break but the oil just slipped past when it compressed?

Thank you

Clean the oil off the fork with some cleaner so its really clean. Then take it for a short ride over some bumps. If there is oil then the seal needs replacing. They are not expensive, they are something that should be replaced every so often when you service your suspension.

Like most seals, theres really no way to check its sealing properly without testing for a leak. The only way to test it is to take it for a ride and see if it leaking.
