Stands on sale at Cycle Gear

This is probably the wrong place to post this, but wasn't able to post in Marketplace.
I got an email over the weekend - the Trackside paddock stands are on sale at Cycle Gear
$44.99 each - which is 50% off regular.

I went into my local store and bought both, plus some spools. So far they seem to work well - the rear stand seems more secure than the front one, as the front one just has 2 rotating rubber blocks that sit under end ends of the front forks.

I've got the rear stand (bought it for $45 last time), and absolutely love it. I just use the swingarm to lift the bike up and its extremely secure and compact since the handle can slide in. If anyone is looking for a well built but inexpensive stand set, pick these up!

I just got one today. I didnt realize they were not the spool arm stands :/ oh well. Also my slidy handle doesnt work right and I tried to fix it since Sacramento where I got it is 75 miles away... :/ so we will see how I like it. I am nervous to use it because how secure is it to just have your swingarm resting on the rubber stop like that?

For the rear stand I had to unbolt the top of the stand and turn the bracket over - that changed it from a rubber block to a spool arm stand. Is yours different? I also wonder if I had the same issue as you with the handle - the pins don't seem to line up properly with the slots? If so, rotate the handle 180 degrees and they should line up perfectly.

I'm still nervous about the front forks balancing on those rotating rubber blocks, but I've shaken the bike a little and they didn't move.
