[2015 Ninja 300] Air Filter Housing Separation

Hi All,

Do the plastic halves holding the air filter element just pull apart or is there something that's supposed to unscrew or ? I don't want to just yank it apart in my impatience...

thanks!

Just replacing the air filter.... I found a video showing the two halves of the plastic doo-dad sandwiching the filter element just snap apart. This is what I suspected but I didn't want to break anything. Thanks for taking time to respond.

I hope you had an excellent time there. Good luck at track day... I still need to get to one here sometime. I even bought a suit for it.

There's two studs in middle that connect the 2-halves. Just grab ends of studs close to them and pull apart.

How did you do at Loring? Running the E-bike?

You get around!

You don't have to split anything to pull air filter out. Pull off the side cover on the throttle side of the bike using a 4mm allen, you will see 3 phillips screws on the air filter cover. Undo those and slide air filter out.
