Area P full race system

I have a brand new Area P full race system with the 18" quiet core carbon silencer. The system fits the 250R Ninja from 2008 - 2012. I bought this during the group buy last year for a track bike build. Life got in the way and I have decided to sell the bike. The only part of the system that has been bolted on was the hanger bracket. I would take $450.00 OBO plus shipping and would like to keep the sale in CONUS, no international shipping.

Somebody buy this. It does great things to the bike and sounds awesome.

Sorry, they will not fit the pre-gen, as far as I know. The pre-gen had dual exhaust if I remember correctly. These were made for the 2008 - 2012 bikes.

Charlie,

The chances of you finding a race exhaust for your '86 are slim and none and I think slim just saddled-up and left town.

If I were in your position, I'd look at the pics on the Area P website to get a better idea of how it will work. I'm thinking it will because the engine is basically the same externally. The cylinder head mounting is the most important and that should be the same. It'll be further downstream where you may have to make a few tweaks, but if it were me, I'd take a shot. There are only one or two pipes that make more power than the Area P and certainly not for less money than this one.

Of course I don't really want you motoring by me at Nelson, so I already have an Area P for my bike.

Thanks Timm (or is it Slimm lol), I have looked at the EX300 pipe I have and also the newgen EX250 one that I have, and I believe the newgen Area P can be made to work. All of them have the same type of mounting, and as long as the flanges aren't welded solid like the newgen stock EX250 IS, I will make it work. I have the specs for the Leo Vince, and the pipe sizes for that one, and thought about concocting a nice two-into one pipe for my 86. There is a company in Romulus, Mich that has thin wall stainless tubing pre-bent, and if I pick up two 180 bends, and two 90 ells, I think the rest I can fab from the two headers I have. I would essentially be using 1.25" od bends, and tapering down to the 1 1/8" header pipe from the EX300 header, then back up to 30mm and 35mm exit pipe. Then a nice little slip on and it's done! The cost of the Area P is the same as a set of Keihin CR31 carbs also... hmmm

I am going to cut off the EX300 flanges to get rid of the smaller tube they fit inside for some reason... the Area P doesn't look like they are welded solid like the newgen 250 stock header is, but its hard to tell. I will basically fab something up, and see how it performs. NOW, AS FOR THE KEIHIN CR31 CARBS..... hehe they would be an awesome addition to the little Ninja!

Why use Cr31's when you could go efi, and then you would also have adjustable igniton timing.
