Money and shipping instructions sent...not sure if anyone else is in Canada, if so speak up and you can piggy back on my international shipping and we can split it.

Thanks Cuong

Huggers shipped for anyone who paid today and tracking #'s PM-ed. Squalo, unfortunately I wasn't able to ship yours yet since I didn't realize how complicated international shipping is (duties, Harmonized codes, etc ). Post office was closed when I got off of work, so I'm gonna go tomorrow during lunch.

Woha! How did I miss this thread?

I was thinking about the exact same mod for my ninjette too.

And here is another guy, who did the DIY slightly differently.

http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-yours...16-hugger.html

And according to a few people the cbr 250r hugger might be a straight fit.

Interesting.... where exactly did you hear that?

Idea: Add that fake carbon fiber wrap over the hugger.

It sounds a bit challenging to do well, but I wonder how good it might look if done skillfully. I loved the picture earlier of the dude with the carbon hugger and carbon pipe.... and usually I'm not a carbon guy.

So these group buy huggers will require a good bit of modding, right? (I have 2yr old twin girls, so very little time to mod.)

As for that ebay green hugger--the $35 shipping kinda kills it for me, and it doesn't look very long, like it would protect much. Don't know the brand, so couldn't look up reviews...still looking at it thought.

Modding is minimal. You just have to trim/cut some of the plastic and drill some holes to zip tie it down.

So, assuming I just have to drill holes in and cut the huggers, how much are these shipped to 32205 (FL) and who do I send it to?

Yea I know, but the auction was 99 cents, so I thought that was still a deal. Technically it is a violation of ebay TOS, but I don't think they enforce it, because I se that stuff all the time on ebay.

good to see everyones getting their parts

i was away for a week on a business trip to India.

i did not see ONE ninjette there in Mumbai (aka Bombay)

saw 1x R6, 2x CBR250, couple dozen royal enfields, and the rest were all bajaj, hondas, zukies, or yamahas, around the 100~200cc class

The v-grill looks great. Was that an extra item from the group buy or did you get it from a local seller? Thanks!

Looks awesome. How close does it sit to the stock tire and anyone have a 150 tire? I think Wayan has a 150, but for some reason this pic looks like a tight fit.

Would have been all over this GB if I didn't already have my Scotts hugger.

the 150 size varies between brand of tires but for the most they all should fit. Everyone that has installed the hugger has done it slightly different than the other. By moving the hugger forward towards the front and spreading it out more will make even more room for a larger tire but that is really not necessary.

Wayanlam's:

Supermanster's: he has a 4.5" rim and and a 160 tire. His hugger is spread out more for clearance.

Mine with the stock 130:

if it is, here's the part:

http://cheapcycleparts.com/model_yea...emblies/241692

looks like it would be $10.02 + shipping. I'm thinking about trying this over the winter with my pre-gen. And painting the swingarm black when I have it off to relube it and my uni-track.

Thanks Cuong! Can you post a pic of the other side and I noticed you didn't use the front bolt hole in this pic. Did you just secure the front with zip ties or am I missing something in your pic?Overall, makes the rear look so tough.

Now if only there was an easy fix to put more aggressive clip-ons on without hitting the bodywork.

I haven't gotten around to making the bracket to secure the front left side. I'm working around what little time I have already.

As for clipons- there are many out there that do not hit the body work for the most part. You need to get the ones with the risers built-in. Woodcrafts are popular and I personally have the Driven's, except mine aren't installed yet.

Yea, the V-Grill was the extra 31st piece. They are not available in the U.S. and I have never seen them on ebay.

Hahaha.... that would suck for most of us, but happy for the late-comers, if it fits for them.

I have shintos and going to switching to WC soon. Went to the international bike show in San Mateo last weekend and those sportbike clip-ons are awesome. Just wished our fairings were more accommodating for more aggressive angled clip-ons.
