Muzzy Exhaust Mounting Bracket?

So looking at pictures of everyone elses muzzy exhaust it seems to mount perfectly to the rear peg hanger but mine is not the case. I bought it used off of some chick selling her bike, and it was mounted like this on her bike as well. Its not an issue really, just seems weird. Ive played with the cans position on the main pipe and I cant slide it back any further. Thoughts?

It's been shortened. Some bunny shortened from the wrong end and now the attachment bracket is the wrong distance relative to the header pipe.

It should have been shortened from the exit end, not the entry end.

I shortened it and i cut it on the exit end. It was mounted up like that when it was full sized.

Did the person before you buy it brand new?

It looks like the entry side is shorter than mine. That's what I'm saying.
