ebay steering damper 1729 mily

Has anyone tried the steering damper being sold on eBay by 1729mily? It is obviously a knock-off Hyperpro. Price is $169.99 plus $10 for shipping from China. I have a Hyperpro RSC on my 03 ZX-6R and love it so not sure if I should cheap out and take the gamble for the 250. Link below. Thanks for looking.

Looks the same as the one I posted. I decided against buying it because I couldn't find any reviews and you usually get what you pay for.

there was one member that has this damper, I was thinking it was ATOR but not for sure, the member bought it at a local shop not ordered from this place but it looked identical to the one in the pic. I've thought about trying that damper but have plenty of other things to buy first.call me cheap but I can't see paying $400 for the other brands.

I've pulled the plug on something very similar, tho I bought the bracket and damper separately. Hoping to do a DIY of the same, since none exists on the net...

I have this damper. Many vendors sell them on ebay. If you shop carefully, you can get a good price + the colors you want. I paid $119 US. The mount is plenty stiff, and the damper fits nicely on the new gen 250R. There are no instructions, so here is the low-down. Remove seat and lower fairings, remove rear bolts from fuel tank, slide fuel tank rearward a few inches, install mount onto frame. The upper bracket installs on the right hand handlebar adapter, using longer bolts. (Mine came with the wrong size bolts, as are the ones in the photo above. I had to order some on Amazon. Only a few bucks).

For an initial damper adjustment, turn the knob anticlockwise until it stops. Now turn clockwise 6 clicks. This gives you 30% resistance, which many say is a good place to start.
