I'd say bring it down to $4000 just to make the number nice at least.

I'd say that's a good price considering there's some people trying to sell their used one for $2,800 up to $3,800 with 10k+ miles.

I'd get a slightly used 300 instead. If you can find one.

http://www.vanderzeemotorplex.com/ne...elSearch=Ninja The site's currently showing only red and green, but the CL ad they had up before said black too.
They're gone now, but it's another example of prices in that range.

MSRP on the '12 250 is only $4199 so $4100 OTD doesn't seem like a huge deal to me. Assuming everything is taxable at 5.75%, that's $3877.07 + $222.93 tax, so I guess it's closer than it appears. MSRP + tax (no other fees included) would be $4440.44 for comparison.

Do you have any idea how much the other fees are? It's a sales trick to give you an OTD or monthly price, so you don't know exactly how much you're paying for what things. If you know the specifics of all the fees involved, you could figure out how much you're paying for just the bike itself.

Considering the way dealerships like to tack on all sorts of fees so you end up paying way more than MSRP, it's probably not a bad deal. I don't think it's smoking hot either though.

+1

I'm still happy with my 250. However, the new 300 looks better, has more power, is more efficient, fuel injected, so more reliable starting, etc. etc. etc.

Slightly used for the same price if you can wait long enough. Keep searching and you'll find one.

I have news

Based on the opions of those who responded to me I was able to lower the Out the Door price of the new (in a crate) 250 Ninja to $3900.00 OUT the Door!

I bought the bike for $3500 and with doc fees and tax it came to $3900 even.

I go over tomorrow to sign the papers and pick it up a day later after they serviced it

Much better. I would've pointed out the $3,500 MSRP on the same bike in 2008 and told them that I know a 2012 bike is heavily rebated in mid 2014 (invoice doesn't mean jack when there are rebates).
