Speedometer Gear Delete?
I'm looking to see if you can delete the speedo gear on a 08' Ninja 250R. So far google hasn't turned up any results and I'm starting to wonder if it can't be done.
I'm converting the ninja to a track/race bike and see no need for the speedo gear and want to reduce any friction points that I can. Obviously if the speedo cable is removed then the amount of friction created probably wont make any difference, but knowing it's one less part to break is peace in my mind. Oh, and this is my first post! Expect to see more tech questions and posts in the future |

Welcome to our site, Kyle !!!
I see no reason that could impede removing the whole mechanism.
