RojoRacing IPhone mount

Messing around with this today since my new phone has turn by turn navi now. This is just the prototype but I should have a final product by the end of the day. This Sundays group ride should prove to be a good test for it.

Interesting, is it going to be universal enough to fit different size cases?

Buy some big o-rings to slide around the phone and your mount! They're unobtrusive enough so they don't disturb anything you're looking at, but work well!

A precise fit to your speck case or to a naked iPhone?

To my belkin case or any other case you may have, different case means a different adapter.

Finished prototype #1

Ok so I've got more ideas for the next design to incorporate a felt lining to make the phone secure yet easy to insert and remove, right now it going nowhere

Anyway you could just make it so the sides slide, but are still secure? That may solve the different cases fitting properly issue. (I don't know how well this work, though.)
Edit: I've been thinking about this all day. Maybe the slide bars could just be attached to the main unit with a wing nut so you can loosen the nut, slide them apart, insert the phone, slide together, and then screw back in. The slide length wouldn't have to be huge or anything.

I also recommend a LifeProof case (if they make one for the i5) because it is super water-proof and that mounting position is asking for water damage.
