I named mine Nikki. It was originally a boy, but she rode me up in the grass and smacked me around with in 5 minutes of meeting her. (First time on a bike) she gave me a bruise that lasted 2 weeks. She also has a bad additude if I haven't given her enough attention in a few days. She likes to stall out at stop signs/ lights and hills, yup she's a female with an attitude. Nikki the stubborn ninja.

Marigold McDuck is mine. The result of a lot of bantering between my hubby and myself. I forget why it was a duck name, but there's where she sits. Now I need a tiny little rubber duckie for my dashboard and we'll be good.

@CaliGrrl, that's adorable. Dash mounted duckie.

@RacinNinja, holy **** your bikes are gorgeous! Never thought I'd see a sportbike with a copper paintjob! And Old Faithful is some space-age looking machine! What kind of bike even is that, that's glorious...

Thank you! I like to keep my bikes clean.....some say it's an OCD issue, haha! CopperTop is a factory paint job too....one year Suzuki thing. CopperTop is 13 this year!

The space age bike is one my Dad built in 1977 that I resurrected and currently race, with my Dad. Thread here so we don't clutter this one up: https://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=258992

Given that my name is Dante, I named my bike Charon, after the ferryman that carries him across the river Styx to Hades.

It's custom plate is even "CHARON"

Oh that is so cool! I'm getting a custom plate for Hurricane too - her name won't fit in the letter limit but the Japanese transliteration will

I love this thread! I'm glad I'm not the only one who names vehicles. Haven't gone to the point of getting a custom license plate but it's a possibility in the future.

CB750: Black. I didn't name it, the self proclaimed custom shop that hacked at it named as such.
CBR: Julia. She's not as sexy as her namesake, but she's close enough to engender (mostly) fond memories.
Ninjette: Hanzo (半蔵). Both a historical figure often cited as a ninja, and a tremendously popular name for ninja characters in various fictional media. The version from Samurai Shodown is probably the fictional example I was thinking of.

675: Big Blue Bubba(Male)
Truck: Jaws(Fish lol)

Revzilla and Bubba are in a committed relationship.

I don't have a name for my bikes or truck.

Does My bike have a name ? Well, it came with one Ninja ! so I call her Ninja !
but in all the movies I've seen I don't really think Ninja is very appropriate for her... and much like the other guy on here when she breaks down the names will flow for sure ! I've worked on bikes all my life and now I'm Retired, and I don't want to work on them any more ! LOL...and then I get this Ninja... the hardest motorcycle to work on I have ever owned... you need hands the size a 3 year old has and 3 sets of allen wrenches just to get down to the bike itself.
we have a Love hate relationship, when she is running good I Love that bike
but when I have to work on her I hate it ! there is no doubt it is a marvel of engineering.... but there are times I wonder if this O'l Man is up to the challenge !, I have named only 2 other bikes Jenny and Exodus, Jenny (a 305 honda dream, served me well all her life, Exodus ( a Honda 450cc twin) never did... and I had great hopes for that machine it was My ticket away from the Ranch ! but alas that never panned out. sense then I just call them by their original names unless they empress me to a certain degree, and this bike and I have not been together long enough for that .... yet.
Bob.......

I just got my CSC RX4 and yes I'm impressed
her name should explain why..... "Miss Piggy" because she is so heavy !
but I am really glad I got her she is one technical marvel even if she is so darn heavy ! i finally got it to where I can touch the ground flat footed so I'm happy ( fell over once before i got that done though ! ( on my first ride!))
talk about insulting ! but it wasn't the bikes fault it was mine.... if she does it again we'll have words !
..... Miss Piggy is blue, never seen a blue piggy before... but i have now !
... OINK !

New 650's name is Poison Ivy. I was able to get the ABS I wanted (tried to set off the ABS and it's got more braking power than I dare use yet), and the paint I wanted (KRT racing colors).

Be careful of those ABS brakes Cali !!!!!! my first incounter with ABS brakes was not favorable at all .... they are designed to be used TOGETHER not one or the other.... if you use one or the other to stop the brakes hardly work at all !
.... I'm old school and use mainly the rear brake and when needed the front brake too.... but that is not how they were designed to be used ! if you use
just the rear brake and try to skid the rear wheel the ABS kicks in and then your free wheeling ....NOT STOPPING ! needless to say I was NOT expecting that at all and I almost ran the stop-sign... releasing and grabbing both brakes she stopped so fast it was silly.... later I tried to get the brakes to lock up on a dirt road using both of them.... doing about 30mph and I hit them hard but they never did brake traction and I stopped far faster than I could have manually I think....
ABS brakes are great IF you use both brakes ! if you don't and the ABS kicks in your suddenly without brakes at all !
so use them with caution and use BOTH brakes like you're supposed to LOL
.....
Bob........

Bob, if your antilock brakes are working like that, something is very wrong.
