Talking bigger front tire?

Has anyone put a taller front tire on your ninja? I took off all fairings and left it naked but the front tire looks funny because its so small.

Would there be any down sides to doing this?

Also can someone explain how the changing the rear sprocket works . I hear it a lot for highway riders but I'm a total noobie on it.

Thanks

I just did a bunch of digging through this kind of info looking for tires and tire sizes for mine. If you're going taller in the front and want it to handle the same, also go taller in the rear. If you do one and not the other, the bike will turn in faster or slower. I feel like there was something glaringly negative about going taller in the front, but I forget it now.

Also, that front fender won't go back on with a taller front tire.

(If I got any of that wrong, correct away!)

Sprocket changes the revs at a given speed. Different sprocket will either give you better acceleration but higher revs and a lower top speed, or slightly slower acceleration but lower revs and a higher top speed.

Unless the HPs' are increased by altering the engine, the top speed remains the same, because it depends on power of the engine rather than transmission ratio
