SoCal folks - I need help
Hi SoCal people. Well, I'm trying to do Kkim's passenger foot peg DIY (http://www.ninjette.org/forums/showthread.php?t=10129) and need a 1/2" drill and a 15/32" bit. If any of you have this that I can borrow, or if I can come drill it at your place that would be much appreciated! Free lunch on me, lol.

If it comes down to it and you can't find anyone closer, I might be able to help you out. (Inland) Not positive I have that bit size but they're only like $4 at home depot anyways. I do have a drill that should handle it and a mill that will if the drill won't.

Just checked.... I have a 1/2", but no 15/32". Like KC says, you should be able to find one at HD or Harbor Freight pretty cheap. Your clipons should be there Tuesday. You're going to love them!

Nice. Thank you both.
Richard, where are you located? Do you sell BT016's yet? If so how much? And do you mount as well? |

I'm in Laguna Niguel, which is about an hour south of you. I have race takeoff BT016s for $100 per pair, but I don't have mounting capabilities. I'm around pretty much all the time, so if you want to come down, let me know when.

When you say "race takeoff" meaning these were used at the track? If so, how much rubber do you think are left on these?

Richard can give you more detail on his tires but in my experience race take-offs are a great deal for street tires. They are virtually brand new in the middle where you do the majority of street riding. Sometimes they even pick up a little extra rubber at the track. The sides are generally well worn but are still plenty good for street riding, even the occasional fast street rides. Also race takeoffs are the best of the best tires. Often these are dedicated "Race DOT" tires that are not even available at your local motorcycle shop. They are street legal but not sold to the general public. Race tires are made with much softer rubber and will wear out faster but since you are paying a fraction of what new tires cost they are still a great deal.

Yep, Craig nailed it. They're new in the middle and on the left side. The right side has some wear, but still has tread left. They have around 500 miles on them, so plenty of life left.
