Bikes apart...change of plans

Man i dont know what to do? Ok im going to shim the jets, yes im adding my sliders too, yes im polishing my exhaust system, should i just go ahead and convert my sprockets too?Just so i'm clear, if i change my sprockets nothing will change except for change teh reving behavior of my engine. Would be nice is changing the sprocket woudl give me better acceleration and a higher top speed but i'ld be happy to get that if i could just paint it green, wait it's already green. Really leaning towards changing the sprockets since i do alot of highway miles commuting...decisions, decisions, decisions.

Sound off people.....

Taller gearing reduces acceleration for top speed, depends on how you want the bike to behave. The thing you have to understand is that regardless of the bike you will get used to the acceleration (why you have guys with 600cc RR bikes thinking their slow).

My suggestion, ride it and quit worrying about the small stuff, in time you will mod it to suit your riding style if you hold on to it. Im planning on doing plenty of track days next year with near stock equipment.

I wouldnt mind an increase in acceleration if it means losing some top speed because i shouldnt be going that fast anyway...assuming im losing about 5 mph or so...that being the case i think i may go to 13/46 then
