newninja.com hacked.

The Newninja.com forums got hacked by by Ma3sTr0-Dz since last night sometime. Forums have been wiped clean and inoperable. Sucks, don't it?

Any fellow NN users on?

Yes, it is called a defacement. It is due to this big religious/political/anti-semetic warring going on between a bunch of neighboring countries and israel.

Ahhhh. This Maestro-DZ has been credited with 3000< defacements in the last nine to fourteen days. Wouldn't be surprised to see ninjette come down as well with all of these other asshole groups going around defacing, but I sure do hope not.

Wow... . Is it backed up somewhere, or wiped clean, altogether?

When I went to the site, all it said was, "by Ma3sTr0-Dz" on a empty page.

It is nice to have several boards to hang in. I highly doubt this group or guy will target this site because we are mentioning it. It is good to let the other boards know so they can check into security.

Most boards' posts live in a database. So while they might deface the start page or point to a different page, the posts should be intact once the pages are restored.

It is probably fixable but what a hassel that is just not necessary.

I have seen some posts but some pretty techie sites getting hit with this too.

Alex - Is it true that in your spare time you copy the posts onto a second set of post-it notes for fault tolerance?
