I know, I was thinking of emailing them and suggesting it as a feature

try some Rain-X on the plastic. amazing stuff to keep water off glass/plastics.
test for compatibility first (I don't know what the go pro case is made of), just to be sure. |

The case is some sort of acrylic though they say somewhere it is polycarbonate so RainX would be fine. The lens is supposed to be some form of crystal glass and it is uncoated so it should be fine. Lenses are not that expensive if it somehow messes it up.

Got my new latches... Still the same problem with too much force required to close this back.

I think part of it is more than that. I think the latch is a little too wide and the first latch was riding on the edge where the back is a little thicker which is why the corner of the latch broke. After that I need to measure things and compare the two different backs.
It is better without the gasket, but it still goes a little past the pieces of plastic meeting. To keep vibrations to a minimum I may need to build a new gasket with some silicon tubing |

I have recently found information that says the shutter button rattles in the camera. After checking some video this morning and cursing at the mounts again I shook my camera... Guess I need to deal with the shutter button. I suggest sending an email to GOPro when you find out that your shutter button is also rattling.
Also there is a GoPro user forum (unofficial) here: http://goprouser.freeforums.org/ |

Hmm, the power button on my camera has lost the click feeling and is like the button is always pushed in, it still works fine though.
I have not noticed the shutter button issue.

I didn't notice it until today, now I think I can hear it in basically everything I've done so far. Looks like I've dropped to the 5 working day response time with GoPro.

Some neat stuff here:
http://www.youtube.com/user/WiK1d Cool to see a little 2 stroke ripping around the corners and blowing past larger bikes. |
