Method for carrying a mountain bike?

I'm bike only, and I wanna try some of the mtb trails that are too far to feasibly ride my bicycle to. This system looks doable on a pregen. But, I haven't seen any other options out there for the hot bike-on-bike action I crave that weren't janky diy options.

Does anyone have any experience with this system, or have another method for carrying a bicycle on your motorbike?

I’m not familiar with the system but the mtb sticks so far back that it doesn’t seem safe. The bike profile is so thin from behind that a cager could easily hit the mtb. Just mho.

here's Jason's thread but you'll have to ask for new pictures because photobucket became useless.

Pretty sure after 40,000 miles my MTB system has proven its reliability. Not to meantion I can still ride fast in the canyons with it and still drag knee.

It has! We just would love to see pics of it again though, as all of those photobucket links went inactive awhile ago.

A real shame photo bucket killed all my pics on this and several other motorcycle and bicycle forums. There were a ton of great instructional threads that got killed as a result. I tried to upload these direct so hopefully they work. My design is a rip off of the 2x2 rack design but I mount the bike via a solid rod that inserts into the hollow bottom bracket. It's a more solid design but you need a separate rod for each brand of crankset which isn't a problem when both your bikes use sram or in my case E13.

First pic was taken at the mines road junction station. Second pic is when I visited a donut shop in the city of upside down located 100 miles past middle of nowhere. Last pic is from the summit of Mt. Hamilton on my way home from races at Laguna Seca.
