Which battery Lithium/Ni/Acid/Gel ? Where did you buy yours?

I need a new battery for my 08 ninja . I have a totally dead solid state maintenance free GS Yuasa YTX&A-BS

I want to get another battery on the cheap .... but I dont want one that will be fried in a season?

I got an acid battery for my jet ski and four wheeler but I have to fill the cells every year so I am shying t words a cheap maintenance free battery or a gel

But I am cheap ... to cheap for gel it seems

is this a decent one ? anyone have any luck with the cheapo ebay batteries?

i think the batt in my 2006 is dying & i think im gonna try this place:

http://www.batterystuff.com/powerspo...sYTX7L-BS.html

i keep my bike plugged into a BT all the time too but i think sometimes they just die. however, my bike was used and i dont know how the batt was treated before i got it.

i use the battery tender JR. it has the LED that flashes green when almost charged & then just stays green.

Lightbulb

I just bought an absorbed glass matt type el cheapo battery on ebay.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/310410222808...84.m1439.l2649

I hope it holds up well the YUSA battery I took out of my bike was the original and it has been in the bike since I bought it and let it sit for the last 18months un attended . So no wonder it died.

I read that the AGM batteries are the most versatile low maintenance batteries
no adding acid and they are less fragile than the gel batteries. I guess gel batteries are deep cycle and very sensitive to over charging or surges

There's no need to buy a charger that will charge multiple batteries. A Battery Tender Jr. is hard to beat and can be purchased on a good sale for $20. Yuasa has a version too that's similar and seems to be good piece as well. If by chance it goes bad you also don't loose a multi-charger that cost an arm & a leg.
