02 Ninja 250 Streetfighter conversion question

How's it going?

I'm new to the forum and can't seem to find specific questions that I'm looking to get answered, so figured I'd post it. My questions are:

-would anyone recommend a headlight with a turning signal in them? If not I can probably jusy buy the universal 7" headlight.

-I wanted to keep the stock gauge for now. So I was wondering what would I need to rig it up once I take the stock bracket off?

Welcome to the board, Tone. I recommend substantial separation between turn signals and the headlight, to give other drivers half a chance of seeing them.

Here's a recent thread with some photos of what I did with my gauges. I made a couple posts in the thread. If you scroll down about half way, there are some closeup photos showing how I mounted them

Welcome,

Search around a bit. Several people have made brackets for the stock gauges.

By the way, I've decided that next time one of my gauges fails, I'm going to get one of these and clean up the front end a bunch. It has all the features of the stock ones, like temperature, neutral light, turn signal indicators, etc., and it even goes up to 14,000 rpm.

It's better than stock, because it has two individual turn signal indicators. No diode kit necessary!

However, it's really tiny. I don't like the idea of having to squint to see my gauges.

You got me wondering, so I checked the Danmoto site again. The overall width is about 4-3/4", so it spans the distance between the handlebar bolts on my '05 250. The display is 3" wide, compared to the 3" diameter stock gauges, so it's about the size of the top half of a stock tach or speedometer. The speedometer digits will end up about 7/16" high, from my estimation with a ruler on my computer monitor. I don't think that's too bad.

In any case, I won't have to squint, because I ride with bifocals.
