Battery to choose
So I need a battery for my bike. The one taken out and does not start the bike says YTX9-BS.
Now I looked at ebay and say ChromeBattery has a YTX9-BS but the dimensions are much smaller. Instead of 6x3.5x4 they are 5x4x3. Will this matter? Also I looked at this one: http://www.batterystuff.com/powerspo.../sYTX9-BS.html I'm not sure which one to get, will sizing matter? Because the chromebattery model is 30 bucks. |

If they are both listed as YTX9-BS it will almost certainly fit fine. I'd guess that the estimated sizing is incorrect.

$30 for a battery...
Personally I would caution you from purchasing an off brand battery. A quality battery that won't leave you stranded in a few weeks will cost at least double that.

Thanks for the info! I would not mind going for the cheaper model if I can save myself a couple of bucks. The battery that has been taken out didn't even have a name on it.
Went to autozone and they wanted 75 bucks for a third party brand where I have to fill, then buy a 40 dollar charger to get it started. I just want to practice on my bike already and not waste any more time, summer is almost gone |

Edit: Looks like the Scorpion one from your link has a 1 year warranty. Maybe it would be ok.

Looks legit. I'd be interested to hear updates on it once installed and you have some history with it.

Well I ordered one from ebay, the same seller has a store there and they had free shipping. I will let you know when I get it as I will need it to bring my bike home.

Bumping this up. I bought a new battery a few months back and finally had it installed yesterday. The battery is taller than OEM and your battery lid will not close over it. I will update on it's performance as time comes.

It's amazing how much the battery price has gone up.
