License plate relocating
How would I go about moving my license plate? It currently looks like this...
but I want it to be like this... Whats the easiest way to do it? And what parts would I need? The new plate location would need some light for night time. All the license plate mounts I've seen are flat, so the plate would be facing downward, not horizontally. Are there any mounts that bend horizontally where it mounts to the bike? I don't want a cop to have any reason to pull me over. |

I think you'll need a fender eliminator kit.

Looks like the PO cut a nice hole for you in the rear fender where the stock tail was. Hard to tell if you'll be able to get a generic one on there decently. Could go with a hotbodies that replaces the whole tail.

Definitely NOT legal, my advice is to get a proper kit, and make sure it has licence plate light, and maybe some reflector.
With mine, I just used a piece of ABS sheet, cut, and heated it to shape, adding lights Another option is this http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Motorcycle-Du...-/261843815799 Nothing sucks more than a BS ticket, which usually leads to other BS tickets.

Would this one be good as a fender eliminator kit?

Why pay so much? I have this:
https://tstindustries.com/Standard-F...Ninja-300.html Only downside is that you can't use the stock (oem) turn signals. But it looks like the bike has integrated turn signals already. So, that wouldn't be an issue for you. Install video:

I bought this one....
http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/y...250r-2008-2013 It comes with the LED plate light (4 bright white LED's) to remain legal, and keeps the stock turn signals, also to remain legal in some states that require the turn signals to be at least 8 inches apart. I chose it because it has a much more "finished" look than all the rest of the fender eliminator kits that just hang the bare plate out in the open. |
