Keyless ignition
One of my rental bikes has damaged an ignition unit making me think about doing keyless ignitions to the fleet and saving a lb. per unit. Anyone tried it? and can provide the wires to connect. It appears that if I connect the brown, the white and the grey at the key plug (harness side) and then connect that group to the red in the on off switch it should be ok. Another thing is why does the grey wire at the key plug read 11 volts instead of 13.8 like the rest of the hot wires at the plug. I know it goes to the ecu but then what? Be kind. Kevin

wires
So I have connected the brown with the white and it will run, it will not run if the grey is not hooked up through the key. According to the diagram I could connect the white grey and brown and it should run, it does not. Kevin

The bikes all have the clutch and side safeties disabled and the bike was in neutral. The grey wire shoed 11 volts while running.
